People are asking this question for hundreds of years, it's an excellent question which can bring you insight about where the lines are drawn. The lines on the borders of the circles are called intersections. In reality the lines on the edges of any ring are only reflections of those junction points are basically mirrors or reflectors of the lines on the edges of the circle.
This usually means that the lines which lie in the middle of the ring will be moving to the middle of the ring, however the lines that intersect at the ends of the circle would be going out of the circle. For instance in a Venn diagram that the lines which intersect at the borders of these circles are representing points that are all reflections of the intersection points at the center of the circle.
Any circle will be exemplified in a Venn diagram using its borders extending to both sides of the circle. No matter how the reflection points, in which the circles intersect, on the borders of the circle which will extend to both sides of the circle are called contrasts.
For example, once we draw the intersection of the line connecting both ends of the ring we see they are only reflections of the middle of the circle and so we can state that the middle of the Venn diagram is a reflection of the intersection points on the border of this circle. In reality this is what Newton did when he showed that for any circle the intersection of the line linking the two intersecting points of this circle is exactly the middle of the circle.
Now let us look at what happens when we start drawing the difference between the borders of the circles. When we draw the intersections between the lines linking the two ends of the circlewe notice that these points are indicative of these junction points of the centres of the circles. Therefore we can say that the difference of the edges of these circles is a manifestation of the difference between the intersections of the edges of the circles.
Now let's look at what happens if we draw the difference between the edges of the circles. When we draw the gaps between the lines joining the two intersections of the edges of the circles we see that these points are all reflections of the points on the edges of the circles which are reflections of the intersection points of these centres of the circles. Therefore we could say that the difference of the differences between the edges of the circles is a reflection of the gap between the intersections of the differences of the borders of the circles.
Now let's see what happens if we draw the difference between the edges of the circles. When we draw the gaps between the lines joining the two points of intersection between the circles and centres of the circles we see that these points are indicative of the centers of the circles and consequently we can say that the gap of the borders of these circles is a reflection of the gap between the intersections of these centers of the circles. However if we don't reverse the order of those questions we can easily tell that the three points we watched are all reflections of the same center.
We all know now that the intersections of those centres of the circles which are reflections of those centres of these circles is known as the difference of the centers of the circles. The differences of these lines linking the two points of intersection will also be called centres, but this is because the gap of the line linking the two facilities is a reflection of the difference of the centers of the circles. Then the lines which meet at the center of the circle are called the centers and the two points of intersection are the contrast.
